Created by designer Niki Taylor, Olanic is an anagram of the designer's full name, Nicola.

Taylor has an impressive portfolio, having strong technical ability she creates a unique signature of effortlessly cool day to evening pieces with sharp tailoring, fantastical prints and embellishes with high-octane glam-rock gloss.

Following Olanic’s first catwalk show at London Fashion Week in September 08 the label has received rave reviews and established a loyal clientele within the music industry, influential stars such as Alexa Chung, Florence & the Machine, Ladyhawke, Shingai fromThe Noisettes and Marina and the diamonds are attracted to the Performance perfect dresses and jumpsuits.

Spring Summer 2010 sees the continuation of Olanic’s creative collaboration with Mackintosh. These exclusive ‘Macs’ provides functional beauty with straps, bows and panels that can be added or removed to construct practical yet stylish outerwear. This season Olanic has taken her design protocol one step further and created her own range of shoes to compliment the collection. Wooden platforms are coupled with pink suede, rose, metallic and black patent leather and extended to high multi strapping at the ankles.

The title Starmaker lends itself nicely to a plethora of end lines and puns to summarise the collection. Let’s just say that Niki Taylor really is a shooting star amongst London’s emerging fashion scene.
